A licensed surveyor with over 25 years experience, Marc Carstens founded Carstens Surveying & Western Digital Cartography, Inc. (WDC) in 1993. Specializing in subdivision work, construction staking, and topographic and rectified aerial imaging mapping for other disciplines such as engineering, environmental and land use planning, WDC employs a staff of 14 including two party chiefs with over 45 years combined experience, a licensed sanitarian, an experienced drafter, field crews, office staff, and seasonal help as needed. WDC is also contracted with the Confederated Salish & Kootenai Tribes to train their land surveyors. |

WDC owns and uses only the best surveying and
office equipment including Lieca GPS equipment and total stations, HP
plotters and printers, AutoCAD software, and the normal compliment of
trucks, ATV’s, watercraft, and aircraft. Carstens Surveying & Western Digital Cartography, Inc. strives to be a valuable contributor to our shared community and surrounding areas and seeks to become the preferred surveying firm in Western Montana.
